Family owned business, even put padlock on when I misplaced mine

Terrible, told there were cameras, and a person that checked daily, and externally locked at night, I was broken into, only to be told the cameras don’t capture that whole area of the complex. When then calling trying to get footage to attach to my claim to police, no returned call. I was informed it was my fault because of the locks I chose, which happened to be a quality lock. In the end my loss is about 8k and I can accept I should have insured, but I can’t accept they say it’s safe, and it patrolled , it’s not,don’t use
