February 27, 2025 This is the worst internet service ever! Not only did it not work the 1st day but I call to cancel service the same day after 5pm & there was no one to help me, the voicemail stated to call back tomorrow. I finally got someone the next day ask them to cancel & they didn't send return label until the next morning in which I returned it to UPS the very next day. They charged us $49.95 for a box to be processed and sent to us telling us that the box would have 300 MB per second with an upload a 20 MB to a sec to 22 MB per second. The box didn't either after being moved from three different rooms. Try to connect two TVs and two phones to get the internet service. Barely even had 20 MB per second on the TV which wouldn't even get us on to the internet. Called them up to tell them we were turning the box being told that they were not going to refund us. Customer & Tech Service are awful. I have 5g wireless. Would not recommend. Internet dropped one afternoon. No reported outages in area. Waited 47 minutes for a tech. She put me on "hold" to troubleshoot and hung up. Online chat text feature does not work. No one responds after you enter the number prompts. Moving my coverage next week. When it does work it buffers alot during high traffic times. Not reliable.
Way over priced. I have been a customer for 28 years. I called about my service today and they asked me to confirm if there were any changes in my information. Really?! The answer is yes in 28 years . . . Their prices and customer service is forcing me to cancel my business. They showed no appreciation for my loyalty. Sad. I signed up as Mindspring
I would not go with Earthlink as your Wi-Fi company. I have been with them the last five years and I’m in the middle of transitioning with somebody else. Earthlink is false advertisement. They will give you one price but then bill you another price. Earthlink will also go up on your bill without giving you any type of notice. They will just add those charges to your next month‘s bill and expect you to pay them.
