Bought a bear cub 305 10 years ago. Absolutely no problems at all. Great furnace for the money.
Most inefficient wood boiler I’ve ever seen! This thing took forever to initially get up to temp and has burned at least 3 wheel barrel loads of wood per day. It’s very poorly insulated and can feel heat escaping all around, especially the door! The recovery time for this boiler is tremendous because there is no heat exchanger tubes inside, just an empty 1/2 cylinder so most of the heat goes right out the chimney.
