Speech therapists seem either lazy or inexperienced. Our son was assessed as having a moderate delay we have since been advised his speech delay is severe. No knowledge or understanding of NDIS, new speech therapist suggested NDIS suitability after initial assessment. Early Start worked with our son for over 12 months with no mention of NDIS. We were told on a few occasions that the speech therapist was conducting an assessment, we were never presented with an outcome or measurable progress indicators. Take home activities w... read more
My son had been having speech therapy there for a few years. High turnover of staff and management. Had been seeing a new therapist there for a while and out of the blue was told that they had too many clients and my son (after years as a client) had to be put on their waiting list. Poor form ☹️
