I do not recommend this clinic for adult Autism assessments. I was referred here by my insurance and had a deeply distressing and medically invalidating diagnostic experience. During my assessment, I experienced several dismissive comments. My assessor made comments along the lines of: 1. this is all fairly typical and 2. you don't look Autistic to me. We have completed three assessments for two kids and have had a great experience every time. Dr. Tuchman was thorough and kind. It is so helpful to work with someone who understands neurodiversity in children who actually takes insurance!
Went to them in 2021 to specifically ask for Asperger's Diagnosis. I was diagnosed with ADHD BUT WASN'T EVEN TESTED FOR ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I spent $3000 for nothing, I got a vague diagnosis that pretty much said I may or may not have ADHD and nothing about Asperger's. I was definetly was ripped off. I did research later because Im 98% sure I have some form of ASD and found that most doctors do not know how to assess adults only children. BEWARE OF DOCTORS THAT ONLY ASSESS CHILDREN. VERY Unorganized. Submitting information process online is great. The ONLY follow up they provided was delayed and it was simply to get my credit card information in case we didn't show for an appointment, which I declined to provide because of their lack of organization and their apparently only motive was payment.
They have great resources and specialists in the field of child psychology.
