Our server Megan made our 47th anniversary truly memorable at Earl's Landing. My husband had the filet au poivre and said it was perfectly cooked-- which he reiterated over and over after each bite. Said it was the best filet mignon he'd had in years. His buffalo mozzarella salad, fresh basil infused cheese on arugula, was an inspiration to the tastebuds. Our 1st time at Earl’s Landing for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! My wife got the Filet and I got the Ribeye. A side was not included and those were a little pricey for what we got, in my opinion. Also an extra charge for the “Earl’s Steak Sauce” but it was very good with my ribeye. Steaks were excellent and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne and dessert for our anniversary. Would highly recommend for an upscale meal in High Point!
We really wanted to like this place. The staff is incredibly friendly and our waitress was beyond fantastic! However, most of the food is not fine dining material. My husband and I each ordered the filet mignon and both were overcooked and dry. The salmon was overcooked as well. The only really good meal was the duck. Beautiful restaurant with incredible menu. Lobster nachos are a 10/10 must order, and the airline chicken was phenomenal. My husband ordered the salmon which was equally as good. Our waitress was lovely and made some great drink recommendations. It's very, very rare that we get to go out somewhere this nice, and Earl's was worth it.
The corner chowder and crab cakes were good. The steaks were prepared very nicely. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the steak on top of the mashed potatoes and smothered in sauce. There was too much sauce and I couldn't enjoy the potatoes. The place was also very loud and it was difficult to hear people at my table talk.
