I am Honestly baffled at the good reviews claiming the staff take care of peoples Parents and Grandparents. The Staff cook meals, do housekeeping 1 time per week and thats pretty much all they do. If a residence needs homecare that is not provided as this is an Indpendent living facility and the Staff have absolutely no training or expertise in health or home care. All of the staff here go above and beyond taking care of my grandfather. I can’t even begin to explain how kind every single staff member has been to my grandpa over the last 7 years. From the front desk to the kitchen staff. He can’t see very well, and they help him so much at meal times. He has developed individual friendships with each one of them and they even let him plant flowers in the Spring and Summer on the outdoor patio to keep him busy and active. Earl Haig is a wonderful residence for adults. My name is Karen Thomas, I am writing this review on my son's profile. My Mom lived at Earl Haig from July 2012 until March 2021. Mom was very happy at Earl Haig and did not want to leave. She is 92 and in long term care and misses everyone. The staff get to know the residence and form connections.
