Don’t build your fire too high, or the community living near the campsite will come out with a garden hose and put it out, like they did to me. Bad experience for the most part!

My sister from another mother brought my daughter (11) & I (37), and her daughter (13) and herself (39), up for a summer getaway the past 2 summers now : ) The location feels pretty safe, amid state-owned nature preserves so not a bunch of traffic & many trails to hike or drive cloae by. It was never too busy, always just right, many friendly folks.
