I've been here twice. Once last year and today. Each time I called the front desk lady was extremely helpful and nice. The older lady who helps upfront is also a sweetheart. Both my experiences with Dr. Pence were extremely pleasant and I had no issues at all. I see a lot of negative reviews but as busy as this location can be and known for being the only optometrist in the area, I don't blame her on a bad day. She is just a very rude and unhappy person... so be ready!!
It took 3 months to get a contact prescription only sort of figured out. I was given an RX print out of my old prescription, the wrong sample contacts were ordered 2 times, She had me sample contacts in the wrong eyes and took WEEKS to get samples in for me to even try. When I started to complain because I had completely run out of my old contacts Dr Pence was defensive and rude about it. I would NOT recommend her. She takes no responsibility for her behavior or her terrible service.

Very busy but efficient full service vision care clinic in Eagle. I had a bit of a complex case but Dr Pence was abundantly knowledgeable, caring and went way beyond as did her staff. I needed a Humphrey scan, full retinal imaging and an OCT. Only place in the Vail Valley to get these advanced tests. Can’t recommend enough but with great service comes a large number of patients! Plan ahead - if you can get in!
