Dog friendy but if you take them on the tour, the stairs are not stairs, they are a ladder. Photos for scale, it is literally a ladder. The staff are super knowledgeable and accommodating, but suggested I carry my 80lb dog up the "stairs"... Just be aware if you have a large or elderly dog.
Visiting the Eagle Mining Co. was such a unique and memorable experience. From the moment you arrive, it feels like stepping back in time into the California Gold Rush era. The guided tour inside the old mine is both educational and fun. Walking through the underground tunnels gives you a real sense of what miners went through, and the guides do a great job explaining the history in an engaging way. Such a fun tour! Very reasonably priced as well!!
I was blown away how cool this mine tour was! It was as if everything was left as it was at the end of the last shift. So much to see and experience as you walk through the main tunnel of the mine. There were several side shoots, shafts and chimenies to see along the way. It was nice and cool throughout the tunnel. I'm 6'4" and had to crouch walk most of the time, with a few places I could stand up straight.
