How can anything be made better in such an anguishing time as letting a loved one go?, I do not know either but the overall care, diginity and attention that the E Alvin Small's team made for our family is by far, the best choice I could have ever made. I recently had to say goodbye to my mother, she had chosen Small's intimate and family owned care almost 30 years ago for my father and again when saying goodbye to my sister. On January 24, 2925 my world was torn apart at the loss of my husband of 50 years. We contacted E Alvin Smalls Colonial Heights location and made an appointment to take care of my husband. He had to be returned to Virginia from South Carolina which entailed a lot of maneuvering between a coroner and a funeral home out of state. To say the least my world was righted by E. E. Alvin Small’s was a blessing to me when my husband passed away unexpectedly. They assisted me every step of the way, going above and beyond to help me through the most difficult time in my life. All of their staff were very knowledgeable, they listened to what we had in mind and then walked us through how to make that happen. Their people have been amazing, even months afterwards they have followed up and offered assistance if there was a need. I could not be more grateful for their people and services.
