After struggling for quite some time to get a good scan of a complex car part using my cheap consumer-grade scanner, I gave up and hired the professionals. What I spent over a week trying (and failing) to accomplish, they turned around in under a day for a very reasonable fee. The scan quality is amazing. With very little additional work, I was able to make some modifications to the resulting model and go straight to a 3D print. The staff were prompt, professional and clearly very good at their jobs. I'll definitely be back.
