I presented to this lab on July 22 with a frail elderly patient at 1:50 pm and was told by the lab tech that the lab closes at 1:45 PM, despite the sign on the door saying that it was open until 2:00 pm and despite the advice of the ordering physician that it was open until 2 pm. It certainly gave the appearance that somebody wanted to go home early. He refused any service that he readily could've managed, forcing an elderly unwell woman to make a second trip.
