Very disappointing experience at this blood laboratory. The issue is not about how busy the clinic was, but about accuracy and professionalism. I had two separate requisitions from two different doctors — one from my family physician and one from my specialist. My family doctor requested routine blood work including vitamin B12, iron, calcium, etc. My specialist specifically requested tests such as HbA1c, thyroid function (TSH, T3, T4), and related diabetes monitoring. A total dumpster fire. I came here at 930. They said come back at noon. 1144 I was told to come back by text. I stayed in the area which is near my Dr's office not my work or home. It said 3 minutes and I was 3rd in queue Now says 17 minutes and im 7th in queue Leaving. Avoid this please at all costs.
2 1/2 hour wait at 8:30 in the morning. Seriously? Not the staff fault but definitely Management. When will the province of Ontario make these monopoly companies accountable. Totally ridiculous.
Yes, there was a wait of 60 minutes, but we did arrive at 3:50 pm on Monday evening. On a positive note, I would like to comment on how amazing the staff was. My 15 year old daughter was petrified of getting bloodwork done, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my daughter felt at ease. They talked her through everything, allowed her to lay down, and made the experience a positive one. From a worried Mom, it made my day. A sincere thank you goes out to the staff!
