I've been going here for a couple years now, usually I just get eyebrow threading. I have in the past gotten a wax, hair and makeup as well as cuts. Never disappointed with the service, I was sad to see one of the sisters leave but the new girl is really good to.

Had my hair cut and coloured for the first time at D&Y. Arefa was incredibly attentive and really took the time to understand the vision I had for my hair. Her attention to detail and guidance throughout the process helped me achieve the exact look I was going for! Dimensional, and blended beautifully. I’ve gotten so many compliments already, and my hair still feels healthy and shiny. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and their hair. Thank you Arefa, and I couldn’t recommend her more!

I just moved to Calgary and was apprehensive to try a new place (even for a trim), glad I took a chance at D&Y! Dolma was excellent and efficient, she listened to what I wanted an did not take off any more hair than I asked for. Very personable as well! So happy to have this salon in my neighborhood.

Appointment day: Jul 6, 2025 I was honestly contemplating whether I should even write this review. I always try to give grace, especially to small businesses in the neighborhood. But this simple root touch-up ended up ruining my hair and I feel I have to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. We got to the salon at 1:30 PM for our “appointments”.
