Reading some of the negative reviews has left me genuinely confused. I recently bought a Golf R from Dutton's and I had literally zero issues during any step of the process. The entire experience - from submitting an online contact form to enquire about availability to the car’s delivery - was awesome. Harry was excellent. If you want to hang onto your car for a while don’t look at a VW. The gearbox on my flawlessly dealer serviced and maintained Golf went bang (a gearbox which has previously had a major recall and is a known weakness) and as the car is out of warranty neither VW or Duttons wanted to know about it. And they slugged me an hour of labour on the way out the door when they realised I wasn’t going to repair it with them. The service department didn’t even manage a pang of sympathy. Look elsewhere.
