Have to be honest...a $186 diagnostic + shop fees and taxes that drive the cost to almost $250 for 15 minutes spent with a vehicle seems pretty egregious. Credit to the service writer and manager for having the gumption to demand payment while saying that they could not duplicate or find an issue.
Absolutely will not return. Went there today. Was what I would assume one of their first appointments, since I was the first customer that I saw there. I told them it was an appointment made by my father, so it is probably under his name. They checked me in, took the keys and asked if I would be waiting on it or leaving and coming back later Bri said waiting on it. Tommy is the best service advisor always on top of his game. Great about keeping the customer updated about vehicle service needs. He cares about doing it right or making it right to the best of his ability. He does not do the work he is at the mercy of the mechanics and getting to do there best. You can kill the messenger he is just the middle man. It is a very hard job and people want to blame him if something doesn’t go right and he is on your side
You may pay a little more initially, but the service is being done by properly trained staff. In the long run, I have found out by experience, it is less expensive to have the work done once here rather than have it done by Jack-legs first then bringing the vehicle to Dutch Miller to have the mistakes made by other fixed second. Trust the professionals!
I wish I could leave ZERO stars. 1) They won't answer the phone half the time, 2) They set appointments 2-3 weeks out and won't even diagnose so I can get a rental. 3) They diagnose it as a non-warranty issue...battery, and we know it's not that. 4) They charge $185 for the diagnosis and about $350 for the battery. You may as well bend over. Last Kia I EVER buy, and it's all due to Dutch Miller service department.
