I saw Dr Merva today. He was attentive, unhurried, listened carefully to all aspects of history, .even observed and helped me with an issue I forgot to bring up myself.. great experience overall. Very highly recommended. I echo the commenter who said they didn't understand the 1 star review for Dr Merva. Also the overall staff of the UNC Family Center is fantastic; great caring emphatic approach, swift yet attentive care; friendly disposition.
I happened to look at Dr. Merva's contact information for medical forms and saw the awful 1-star review. I don't usually post Google Reviews, but want any new patients to know that that was absolutely not my experience. I felt that Dr. Merva and his team were extremely respectful and open to digging in to my medical concerns. Worst PCP I have ever experienced, doesn't trust patients, doesn't care to listen to medical history, and truly has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced in the healthcare system. Is prejudice and has several biases unconscious and conscious that needs to be addressed. Lastly, lied on medical record to make himself look better.
