After calling durum services to report issues with our unit that they installed the service manager informed me that I could always call competitor to service the unit. So that's exactly what we did we call Thomas HVAC company and in approximately 12 minutes they were able to find the problem which was a simple capacitor that had gone out and fix our problem the problem that we had been going back-and-forth with Durham services for over two weeks that was the best advice we had ever been given by Durham! They were the original installers and did a fine job for Jeff Benton Homes. However, service call to replace a compressor under warranty was suspicious at best. This is a $400-$500 labor job - they charge $1200 (this was NOT a emergency repair). I paid the bill and then expressed my concern at the price. The "owner" called and indicated that the service tech didn't understand the new billing manual and reduced the price to $800. Other neighbors are receiving similar experiences. Buyer beware.

First contact - good information provided. Services sounds as expected and needed. Will await service for further review.
