So I've had to stay here in the past due to personal issues. I needed a mental health holiday so to speak. These people are GREAT! Mind you it's been YEARS since my stay but I think that might say something. I worked with DMHS after leaving and I also had a stay at the Whitby location. But between DMHS and other community resources I did get better. I'm not 100% but who really is. I called 6 - 7 times trying to reach someone. No one answered, left a few messages. Never heard back from anyone. Could not reach anyone for 3 - 4 hours. Great concept, a distress line in which you cannot reach anyone. If you need help, I would look elsewhere, if you call this number, you are wasting your time. I had distress just trying to reach them. Clearly, they do not care.

I have experience from two separate workers. The first person to help me during the first year sent me a text stating they would be away for a week and call me when back. The person didn't. And I was left with exactly the same issues + more. To deal with on my own. Second person to help me. Was extremely ignorant of disabilities. Would schedule a time and not call somtimes or cancel alot due to her reasons. . Once blame me for not calling her when she clearly said would call me.
