This office is very out of touch with insurance filing. Dr. Rein stated "we'll do some bloodwork" to confirm I'm not malnourished due to Celiac, next thing I know my insurance is billed $3,500. The quantity of labs was not disclosed to me. Some of them could have been coded as preventative (I have had them coded as such before). I ended up having to pay $1,500 out of pocket "for some bloodwork".
They offer the most qualified gastroenterologist Durham has to offer. I highly recommend you see one of their Dr's and receive their life-saving procedures before its too late.
Due to a complete lack of clear communication I canceled my appointment with Dr. Tendler/Durham Gastroenterology. I had a colonoscopy 10 years ago here and all went very well. Now - if you attempt to call you will go thru endless menus and ultimately NEVER be able to speak to a human. When you leave a message you are informed that you will receive a response within 48 hours!! The receptionist & MA were nice. But I should've canceled my appointment like I intended. A waste of time and money. Dr. Rein did not examine, but said my pain was in my mind.
