I will not criticize their service. However, their billing scheme leaves a lot to be desired. I received one bill after the incident leading to the use of their services, which also included an option for sending in insurance information, which I did. A year and a half later, I get a notification from a collection agency informing me that my bill is outstanding. I received no other notifications from Durham County EMS. I am so thrilled to have had them pick up my husband and take him to Duke. He was on a tractor trailer headed north when he got very sick. The crew was very sweet to him and worked in a "hurried" and knowledgeable manner. The EMS (a female) even got on the phone with me, in Virginia, and gave me the directions to Duke Regional where they were taking him. She reassured me that she was going to take very good care of him. She did! Thank you soooooo much! You saved his life!!! God grant you safety and health!
