I too was with Home Savings and Loan for many decades, and I too was skeptical when they sold, but Ive found the staff at E Side Madison location far more helpful re everything from how to use online banking system to how to deal with using money overseas to how to get best earnings on savings to long term financial planning. It's a credit union, so it's gonna have similar community orientation as Home (even tho head office is in Iowa) and certainly has better interest rates and perks for members than a bank.
Wonderful customer care team. The staff is very welcoming and eager to answer questions.
A hard credit pull just for a checking account? Ridiculous. It isn’t a Line of Credit. I’m giving you people MY money, NOT borrowing it.
