We had a great experience renting from Charlie. He was a very hands-off landlord which we appreciated but was always there when we needed something. We had one water damage situation and he was quick to have someone come in and fix it. We got most of our security deposit back but everything that was retracted was our responsibility. Overall great experience, I loved the house and would 100% reccomend.
We had a great experience with Charlie! He was extremely kind and helpful from the start. Offering to help us navigate renting our first home off-campus. We did end up getting most of our security deposit (what was taken out was mostly the water bill, which we understood from day 1, cleaning fees, and then a few small damages that we 100% took responsibility for). DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PERSON. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THAT ENOUGH. He will steal your security deposit. I use the word steal because that is how he does it. No matter how well you treat the place, he will make up bogus charges that exceed the security deposit itself and will demand more than that. He will lie through his teeth with no remorse. Save yourself the money and the stress.
Stole our security deposit by charging my roommate and I over $4,000 in cleaning fees + absurd bills. They will over charge you for regular maintenance + other imaginary “damages” despite how well you take care of the house (despite it being old). Last i’ve heard from previous tenants they were being sued over similar circumstances. Definitely try to stay away from renting anything from these scammers.
