Thank you to our wonderful hosts Becky and Meredith for a magical stay. We were made to feel right at home from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We stayed in beautiful, clean, comfortable rooms in the old stable block, that included a super comfy lounge and dining room. We had Southern classic dishes from the owners family cookbook for breakfast and dinner, all cooked to perfection. The most beautiful tranquil place I have ever been. Miles of private walks through oak forest with the ghostly Spanish moss and along the Midway river (bluff). Elegant southern food served by the lovely inkeeper. And a lovely welcome by the owners. I am glad i found this truly southern place.
Dunham Farms has beautiful scenery, masterful customer service, comfortable beds, and delicious food. I strongly recommend staying there, and plan on returning soon myself. Bonus anecdote: My wife and I saw a bald eagle up close (within 5 or 6 feet) for the first time in either of our lives. I was so excited in the moment that I couldn't contain my thoughts, and shouted "OOH! An EAGLE! a BALD eagle!" The most breathtaking and spiritual Bed and Breakfast I have ever seen.
This a little treasure. It us off the beaten path. Very quite and peaceful. A great place to escape and enjoy natures beauty.
