My partner and I went a couple weeks ago with what turned out to be him having acute appendicitis. The triage nurse, Walter, the other nurse at the back (whose name I can’t remember sadly, but I believed it started with a K), and the doctor, Nick were all fantastic. Went in with a skin infection. With my eczema for the last 40 something years I can on occasion be a little belligerent, especially after been going to from and at work for the previous 16 odd hours. Despite that the doctor was super polite and i got the script i already knew i needed. Got some good advice too for things to try, after so many years i sort of don't bother taking things on board, but with the infection i'd used dettol baths, so she recommended bleach instead. Called in round 8am with a hand injury..staff were really good and speedy timing..had a quick x ray and was treated quickly with good discussion and explanation ..quick and professional..5 stars guys
The new policy charges $280 per visit for international students and whoever that doesn't hold a visa with a validity period ≥2 years. The University of Otago recommends the online GP whenever Student Health is at capacity. Otherwise, Urgent Doctors is a decent clinic as I've been here several times.
