Bought a custom trailer in July 25 and in preparation to go on an extended journey went to check bearings etc. Couldn't take off rotors until I unbolted springs. The bottom bolt couldn't be withdrawn as it had no clearance. Went through the agent I bought it from who contacted Mackay for a solution as this would be hugely difficult on the road. Mackay trailers gave no solution, only tried to validate their trailer. WOULD not recommend their trailers to anyone who does some serious mileage or who expects some service. Dunbier... read more

Years ago they use to build a good trailer, but unfortunately not any more. Its all about cost cutting, I brought a new Jet ski trailer less than a year ago, it has travelled less than 500 k's and I had to replace the wheel bearings due to the fact they failed to fit proper marine bearings and went with ordinary trailer bearing,,,, How cheap is that

I drive past here all the time and they are always advertising for General Hand and for a welder. Then for a short while they stop advertising but the signs appear again, so obviously a very high turnover of staff. Must be a toxic work environment for this to happen and should be a red flag for others looking for work. A poor work environment would also reflect on products.
