First , let me say that the staff were really nice. However, having respect for a knowledgeable client about their breed was a bit too much for them to swallow. My dog almost loss his eye because the vet was not willing to listen to me--even after I told her that I had over 30 years experience breeding and showing dogs. When the prescribed medication made my dog's eye worse, I tried to order and get approval for the necessary medication. Best Vet Ever! What a great, fantastic find! The Dumont Animal Hospital is a little far from where I live, but it is definitely worth the extra miles. I can't say enough, how wonderful and caring Dr. Diggle is. I have had dogs all my life but never found a veterinarian that I am this comfortable with. He takes his time, does not rush through and answered all of my questions and concerns. His prices are quite reasonable as well. Love the bright cheery decor, too! Best Vet Ever!!! Dr. Diggle is AWESOME!!! I have followed him from New York for many years and he offers the best care that I have ever experienced. He is always gentle with my dogs, compassionate and advises me on what is best for my pet. His office is very cute and clean and doesn't smell bad like a lot of other places. He is highly recommended by me and my dogs!!!!
Hate this Vet. This Vet is very small...my friend took her pets here and did not like it at all. I went with her to the visit and I realized that Dr. Diggle has a good way of making the bill higher and higher. He kept on telling us that her dog needed all these medications and he wanted to do so many things on her that we felt was not necessary. We came in for a routine check-up and landed with a 200 dollar bill. Would not recommend this vet at all. The receptionist is also very rude and does not seem to understand the price... read more
pricey! I am a new owner of a guinea pig & I brought Latte (my pet) to Dr. Diggles twice & both times I suffered from sticker shock! The first time i expected a routine check up for much less than the $134 i ended up payiing b/c he needed a vitamin C shot, antibiotics & probiotics too which seemed a bit ridiculous to me. Truth is, Dr. Diggles definitely strikes me as very compassionate & caring but I don't appreciate finding out how much i owe AFTER the fact. Dumont Animal Hospital I find both the staff and Dr. Diggle to conduct themselves in a professional manner. I always know what the bill will be and there are never any surprises.Dr. Diggle is very good with my animals and he is a kind and caring individual. I've been to many Vets in the area and unfortunately they can be a little cold when it comes to caring for my animals.I would recommend Dumont Animal Hospital to anyone new to the area or just looking to change Vets.AM
Only needs better Receptionist Dr. Diggle is great. The only reason for not getting five stars is the receptionist always puts me on hold immediately after picking up the phone and sometimes there seems to be poor communication between receptionist and staff. Other than that, Diggle is great and fairly priced and one of the few places in my area that don't gouge prices for reptile visits.
unsatisfied customer Although the doctor has a good bedside manner, as a previous reviewer described, he does seem to look to add as many charges as possible to the bill. In fact when he was taking notes in the actual examination room, he was including the prices next to each procedures, which we felt was inappropriate and extremely insensitive not to mention unprofessional. Their is also a very nasty rude receptionist.
Excellent Vet! I noticed that this animal hospital opened recently, and had the opportunity to try them out when my small dog was sick and my regular vet was out of town. The office is clean and well kept, the vet (Dr. Diggle) was excellent with both my dog and my worried child - bedside manner is always a plus! His diagnosis was right on target, and the dog is feeling much better already. And the others (people, not pets!) I spoke to in the waiting room spoke highly of Dr. Diggle.
