My husband and I enjoyed this little 7 mile adventure. The river is easy to kayak and the trail, while slippery when muddy, is well maintained. The waterfall was beautiful and our guide pointed out a lot of plants and wildlife during the hike.
We’ve done this tour years ago but super happy to do it again. Zach was a great guide…let us know what to expect (including slippery mud and trickling waterfall), briefed us safety-wise, gave great paddling tips and just an all around nice (and entertaining) guide! And, although I brought my own trekking poles (which I HIGHLY recommend), he also provided walking sticks. Thanks Zach for a great day! P.S.-Even though it was early to do the 7 a.m. tour, was a great way to have WAY less crowds.
Zach are guide was great. I am a experienced kayaker and still learn a few new techniques. I recommend bringing gloves and a lot of water.
Great package tour of the kayak and hike to secret falls. The trip was amazing enough with the kayak and hike, but the guide Mikaela was outstanding and made it even better. Just the nicest and most down to earth girl you could meet. She gave great info about the island and also provided great tips on places to eat and go while visiting Kauai. Mikayla did an amazing job for us in the tour. I loved how knowledgeable she was with the flowers and birds. It was such a beautiful day. I would recommend early morning it gets really hot really fast.
