Would like to give a shout-out and thumbs-up to Marco Duque of Duke's Chimney, Danbury. He personally regrouted my old (1930 house) fireplace and chimney, making it safe to have fires again. He also cleaned out the furnace flue, and cleaned up afterwards. In addition, he was just really nice to talk to, interesting to hear his story of how he came to be the owner of his own company. Duke’s Chimney is an outstanding Co run by a true and honest professional. Marco, the owner who has been in the business for twenty plus years, solved a chimney problem in my home that was caused by an energy efficient boiler which had been installed in October of 2024. Update: I was offered a free cleaning for the inconvenience (described below). A technician came out the next day at my requested time, arrived a few minutes early and got the job done. Thank you! After 45 minutes of waiting for the technician to arrive to clean my chimney, I called and was told he was running late. The tech was expected to arrive 2 hours after the appointment time. I easily decided to take my business elsewhere. It was a complete lack of respect for my time. So frustrating.
