Recently had a liver biospy guided by radiology. The procedure was delayed some by the fact 2 of the scanners were down and there was a back up of patients. The procedure itself was fine, the nurse that provided the sedative was attentive and quick to respond to questions. It was her only job in the surgury. The nurses were polite and good at their jobs. Great staff and fast service
I recently had a lumbar puncture and myelogram at Duke radiology to check for a CSF leak. I have had debilitating symptoms of one for years. As any normal person would understand, having untreated symptoms for years will cause someone to act normally through the pain as constantly crying and moaning for that long would be insane. However, the radiologist told me that since there was no obvious sign of a leak on my scan and that my symptoms were really just mild, I should not get any treatment. I am so done with Duke University Hospital after loosing my kidney I've had nothing but issues with my health. I expected so much from Duke vs me seeing doctors here in Charlotte. The PA will just write up anything and the doctor will sign off on it without looking over it. I'm currently still in severe pain with other issues. Maybe one day I'll find a doctor that can figure out what's going on with me unfortunately its not no one at Duke.
