Had a Duke CRNA graduate. One of the most pretentious, rude medical providers I’ve ever met. Know it all without knowing it all, the worst kind of “smart” person. Extremely unhelpful person and I wasn’t able to request a different CRNA. Gave me a bad taste about the school in general.
I woke up three times (3x) during my hip replacement. I had the other hip done at a little hospital and was asleep for the whole time. I’m at Duke and they can’t keep me under for a hip replacement? One of the times I woke up, I told the Duke anesthesiologist I was awake again as I heard the team hammering my thigh bone. Love my surgeon but what is going on with this department?
