Do not go to this ER!! The care is substandard, and certainly not up to Duke's reputation. I brought my niece in to the ER with acute abdominal pain. Three hours later, she was still waiting to be seen. After questioning how long it was taking, I was told by the Charge Nurse that it would be a least a few hours longer! It should be the obligation of any reputable hospital to inform patients with acute conditions if they cannot be treated in a reasonable length of time. Absolutely amazing experience tonight even though coming to the ER is never fun & I was in a terrible amount of pain. My doctor, Dr. Brodi & her nurse I can’t remember his name but he reminds me of Santa clause, they were both very knowledgeable, very nice & very patient with me. I didn’t have to wait at all. Why do you people come to google reviews to complain about the wait time? You know you can check that online before coming right? Anyways, great experience. I went here on 2/6/25 after being in a really bad car crash because I was afraid I had a fractured hand. It was packed so the wait was long, which was fine. My experience with the staff member that did the triage was fine. So was the experience with the X-ray tech. Things went downhill when I was in the room to get my last blood pressure reading and waiting to be checked out and I realized in the aftermath of the car wreck I left my house key in my car! And my car had been towed to tow yard. So told the last lady that came i... read more
My experience here was very poor. The male nurse with the bushy white beard doing triage seemed especially un empathetic
