I have infusions every Friday at the Duke Cancer Center for a rare genetic disease. I've had these every week since 2/8 and they will continue for life. The level of care I receive from these remarkable ladies is unbelievable. They treat me with so much kindness, respect and are always concerned about any issues I have. Recently I started having breathing issues during an infusion and before I knew it, there were 5-6 nurses there, including the LPN, shutting off my infusion, getting me on oxygen and making sure all was okay.... read more

The ICU treated my dad very well. There was a lot of kindness from everyone that worked at this hospital. I would give the Duke Raleigh hospital experience a 5, but transfer process has been a nightmare. After the ICU stabilized my dad we met with a case manager. It was my understanding that case managers were impartial individuals that helped match families with best results. The nurse I had before surgery, Centa, was so sweet and completely put me at ease. She gave me the best IV ever and listened to me every step of the way. I wish she could be nominated for an award!
I came here because I was having back pain that hurts me to sit down the pressure that is a killer. I'm still in pain they asked me questions like did I fall, did I move wrong etc. I showed them where the pain was the doctor in the ER told the nurse to fast track me which means give the patient a room so I could gets some medication and go home with the medication in my system and a prescription for more medication. No X-ray was done to find out why or what was causing me to have pain in my back. I wasn't seeking drugs I hat... read more
