Had a C5-C7 Fusion surgery. More evasive that I knew it to be, but staff was very helpful and informative. They were over booked due to Flu season, so I never got a room like I was suppose to, unfortunately stuck down in recovery all night, but they made it as comfortable as possible in my situation. This hospital is a waste of time. I don’t know If they are overworked and underpaid but they need to tighten up or just leave it alone. Naomi was the only breath of fresh air there. People talk in circles or just don’t talk at all. They will literally leave you bleeding on a gurney, ignore calls for your nurse, and pretend that the doctors are in route. Worst worst worst hospital I’ve been to for service for myself. I don’t even like to write reviews but couldn’t NOT write this.
My mother was there for total knee replacement. Her nurse both days must have been mere weeks on the job and was so unsure of herself it was almost scary. My mothers nerve block started bleeding profusely before we even left the hospital, but was told it was normal. 4 hours after discharge we were back in the ER due to her bleeding and pain levels. The ER staff were absolutely horrendous save for the DR and nurse in back. They allowed vehicles to be parked at the entrance, talked about my mother saying "she is a drug seeker"... read more

There are not enough words to explain how compassionate and caring the staff are Duke Hospital in Raleigh. From start to finish starting with the receptionist at the information desk all the way up to the doctors and nurses, the kind words and smiling faces made the entire experience that my family was going through a whole lot easier. The hospitality was GREAT. I didn’t even feel like I was in a hospital. They took very good care of my mom. We love Dr. Haglund
As a tar heel I was very pleasantly surprised. Lol They took excellent care of my mother even though the wait was a little bit long.
As a patient i came in experiencing the scariest moment of my life, the ER staff made me feel completely safe being in their care. They were attentive, knowledgeable, genuine, and informative.
