Zero Stars I am in total disbelief of the care I received today from the ED. Not because they were extremely busy but the care or lack thereof from the PA. Even after asking to speak with a doctor directly. Upon discharge the PA actually prescribed me a medication I was already taking to take care of my issue. Only problem, writing the prescription clearly showed she did not even bother to read my list of medications currently taking. I just want to say that so far my experience here at Duke Raleigh Hospital has been fantastic other than being sick. The nurses are wonderful, efficient, and very upbeat. The food is actually pretty awesome. And I made a new friend by having her as a room mate. All in all I can say that this stay might help me go to the hospital sooner the next time it is needed instead of bein scared and hating hospitals. The timing wasn't bad , the staff was friendly, and feeling our pain!! at least 20 patients had on masks!! they definitely had their work cut out for them, hopefully they will not be seeing me any time soon 😁
I cannot believe the lack of care in this facility. I popped my fake hip completely out & am about to be released with the orders “no weight bearing” but when I asked where the crutches were I was told “there’s no order for any” as they shrugged & walked out of the room. I’ve told them my list of medications a dozen times since I’ve been here, no one has saved it in the computer & keeps insisting I’m on medications that I haven’t been prescribed to in years. My Dr. Was fabulous!! Dr Schweitzer....only reason I was there. They have now started having patients share rooms after surgery!!! SERIOUSLY?!?! It's archaic to expect human beings, in their most vulnerable times, to poop and pee in a "port a let" on one side of the room and the other side has everyone walking in and looking at you! Wake Med has private rooms for all patients after surgery.
