I should have come here to read the reviews first before making an appointment. Lesson learned. This clinic should not be considered a hospital outpatient facility.
I'm happy with the physical therapy care I received here.
Beware! This clinic will bill you for "hospital services" even though it looks and operates like any other office in the Duke system. I was referred for a sore hip, got some stretches and exercises to help with that, and ended up with over $1000 out of pocket after insurance!! A very unpleasant surprise.
Well I looks like I’m not the only one! They charged me ridiculous amounts and almost a year later still dealing with trying to get it figured out. The times I went in there it seemed as thought a majority of their clients were elderly it’s sad cause they are obviously taking advice of people and billing people for ridiculous amounts of money.
I saw Dana here and he was amazing. I had two issue, my hip and my knee and he helped immensely. Since we worked on them during the same visit, I had no idea that Duke was billing for two sessions of PT. They went past what my insurance allowed and ended up charging me thousands of dollars. It was outrageous. It's too bad their billing is so rapacious as he is quite an excellent therapist. They would be receiving 5 stars but I had to take off 3 for Duke's excessive greed.
