Tram driver very rude and unfriendly. Told us we could not sit in front of tram because its "priority" seating...there was no one else there.
I just read the Duke mansion will be demolished. After seeing photos in the Star-Ledger, I agree. It is sad the mansion fell into such complete disrepair. I'd love to see photos of the inside. I hope there will be an exhibit with lots of photos of the mansion to know its history and how DD lived.
perfect "gem" - in our own backyards... I love it here, my family loves it here too.. it's a great place for a stroll, jog or bike ride... the tram can get you everywhere and your feet can take you the rest of the way... bring a camera and some water , or just yourself ... Between the grounds, gardens, fields, greenhouses, historic sites, the great falls and the wilderness paths - there is SO much to see... the classes and workshops are also wonderful. And the fruit smoothies from the cafe are delicious!
Everything was purely wonderful. Organic cafe, trails, farm to table market, orchid garden, and enough room for the parking lot to be full and it not feel crowded. Soul restored!
