It’s time to decommission these dirty power plants. They make people sick and contribute to the pollution in and around the Ohio River and surrounding tributaries.
This is A Coal Steam Power Plant. And the tall concrete stacks releases hot Natural Gas and Coal Smoke. The large beveled Cooling Tower is letting the hot water off the Steam Turbines (Chillers) cool off before being re-used and released back into the Ohio River! No Nuclear Power! Along with herds of Deer, Fish and all sorts of Wildlife lives around this Plant Site!
Always a site to see on a nice clear day.. it's like the north start of the West ( for Cincinnati ) ...
This place looks so cool. Giant smokestacks that reach higher than the hills. I am a big fan of anything electrical utility related and I find massive plants like this really awesome. Would love to tour it sometime!
