Without warning Duke energy of North Carolina shot my bill up from $0 to $600 and in the same day they said they would disconnect it, when I tried to contact them I could not get through in the phone hung up immediately and then the next day my electricity was off so I will be contacting the better Business bureau about this.
Good luck finding anyone remotely intellegent when it comes to setting up service for a business. Most utility companies are horrible anyway, but these people take it to a whole new level of bad customer service and gross incompetence. The website wouldn't schedule a service date. I called in and was told to use the website (which clearly wasn't working). Powers been out 8 plus hours and counting. New estimates have it being out for over 13 hours. Who ever works the phones seems equally as clueless to what’s going on as anyone else. And hard to imagine the the year of 2025 that electricity can take this long to be repaired.
Worst company even png sucks everything duke touches sucks 100 degrees weather and they take their sweet time fixing it
My electric bill from Feb 2023 went from 178 to 378 in Feb 2025. That's an increases of 2400 a year and i just don't believe inflation post covid is to blame. We're being exploited and i am writing the governor and our congressman for investigation.
