Horrible service. On our power grid the same 770 customers loose power for fallen trees when the sun is out and not a bit of wind. Happens at least every month and have to go without power for at least 14 days time every year. We have reported the problems but never do anything to rectify. Just have to loose our food in freezer and have no other choice. Horrible preventative maintenance.
God awful company. Constantly lies and deceives their customers. The wait time on their calls is insane. Absolutely not one person knows what they are talking about. Every time a call is made another person gives false information or acts as if there is nothing they can do. But what can you do? They are the only power company we can use. So we are stuck in this continuous circle of pain and lies from Duke energy.

Going on 3 days with no electricity or heat, there are no trucks on my road today to fix our problem. This is what happens when a monopoly is formed. There is no incentive to better your product because we cant go anywhere else. I would love a better option than Duke power. If the electricity goes out in the summer for whatever reason, its literally out for hours. What is the solution to these long horrible outages with Duke power??
