We signed up for the beginner volleyball camp, but it didn’t feel like it was meant for beginners at all. There was no introduction, no guidance, and no effort to make new kids feel welcome. Most of the kids had clearly been there before and knew what to expect, while my daughter—who had never played before—was left feeling out of place and discouraged.
