Beware that the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy offered at this location is billed as a hospital-based clinic outpatient department of Duke hospital and have additional facility charges. Insurance companies process bills with a deductible and coinsurance rather than as a co-pay as for an office visit. What should have been a $25 co-pay ended up being $220 balance due! Shame on you for not mentioning this when we checked in for the appointment.
The doctor saw THREE patients before my son, THREE and his appointment was first. We waited and waited and waited. She said the blood work would be in and out. It wasn’t, so I just left. I guess her Hispanic patients are more important than her black patients??
They are very nice people, and they provide excellent quality service to their patients, especially Katherine V. Caro PA. My daughter is happy with her treatment, and it was well worth the drive from Raleigh. Muchas Gracias.
The people at this facility really have a passion for their work. They treat the children with dignity, compassion, empathy and Love. I don’t believe you can fake this no matter how much you get paid as a Doctor. This is their passion, their approach isn’t a degrading “you’re overweight! You need to do something about it” approach. They approach with we’re going to help you find the problem wether it be chemical imbalance, genetics, poor eating habits, or disorder that’s causing it and we’re going to help fix it! The staff here at Duke really are specialist in medical causes of weight gain and how to HELP children live their healthiest lifestyle without shaming them or making them feel bad about themselves.
