The people at this facility really have a passion for their work. They treat the children with dignity, compassion, empathy and Love. I don’t believe you can fake this no matter how much you get paid as a Doctor. This is their passion, their approach isn’t a degrading “you’re overweight! You need to do something about it” approach. The staff here at Duke really are specialist in medical causes of weight gain and how to HELP children live their healthiest lifestyle without shaming them or making them feel bad about themselves.
