Called to request medical records and had a genuinely frustrating experience with the front-line phone staff at Lenox Baker Children's Hospital Gastroenterology. The person who answered was impatient from the start, rushing through basic information before I could finish providing it. When I needed a moment to locate a specific detail, I was transferred without being asked or told where I was being sent. You’re better off taking your child to UNC. Outpatient support from the Peds GI docs is nonexistent. Coordination between other specialities is bare minimum. No one listens to your concerns and they even tell you that they wouldn’t be upset if you find care somewhere else.
