Beware. In June 2025, I underwent a stereotactic biopsy at Duke Cancer Center that was severely mishandled by Dr. Connie Kim. When I reported the incident to Duke’s Risk Management team, they claimed no wrongdoing, yet still chose to write off my related expenses. That should tell you something. Years of 3D mammograms at Duke cancer center missed two tumors almost 3 cm each (bilateral breast cancer). I was assured that 3-D mammograms were appropriate for my heterogeneously dense breasts (and no family history). Even after I found the breast cancer in my left side, I had to fight to get a breast MRI on my right side. If you want the best chance to find your breast cancer early, and save your life, go somewhere else.

I had an abnormal mammo, biopsy and had to have a lumpectomy. The staff was always positive and friendly, and Dr. Kim (radiologist) and Dr. Rosenberger (my surgeon) were incredibly friendly, emotionally supportive, knowledgeable and took great care of me. This is such a top-notch cancer center that goes out of it's way to make patients feel at ease and to provide such state-of-the-art health care. While I don't have cancer I am higher risk in the future and they seamlessly added me to the High Risk clinic. I got phone calls ... read more
