I am new to boating and admittedly know nothing about boats, so we hired Duffy care for the last 2 years for our 21 foot Duffy. I thought the care was slipshod but tolerable for the last 2 years. Duffy Care is horrible when it comes to checking/filling the water level in the batteries and general preventative maintenance. I checked on my Duffy boat today to see if we can take our family out on the water. Many of the battery terminals were completely empty. The technician leaves notes every month that indicate he is servicing the batteries, but it is really obvious that he is not doing his job, Considering the amount of money we pay for Duffy care “service”, it is a total rip off.
Yesterday afternoon when I tried to pull our Duffy away from the dock, the steering wheel was difficult to turn and the boat was undriveable. I called Service at 3:30 pm Wednesday, their tech was here at 10:00 am Thursday and quickly identified and fixed the problem. Duffy Service has been taking care of our boat for 8 years, and we love their 100% done-for-you care. They are the best!
I would for sure buy one of the boats they make. Super high quality. Plus a local family business.
