Not happy with my stay. Rooms were small and not very clean. Squished bugs all over wall and in curtain for the deck. Mirror for the bathroom was disgusting. Walls were paper thin I could hear the neighbour watching TV. And possibly the most upsetting thing was our smoke detector beeped like it needed batteries. Not a big deal I notified the front desk and they said they’d send someone over to our room to fix it. We travelled from Victoria and made it to Duffin Cove about 16.30hrs. The lady on Reception was helpful and friendly but if we had been delayed, we may have encountered an unstaffed reception desk. That said, the view from the room across the water was stunning. The bathroom was clean and lovely, and the room itself was functional and clean. One minor quibble was the noisy fridge that exclaimed frequently during the night. Beautiful view, comfortable bed, modern and clean room. Nice little balcony on which to relax or eat/drink. Located on dead end but easily walkable to town (2 blocks to grocery or gift store/3 to several restaurants). Staff on site 10am-6pm but we never needed them outside these hours. Front desk very helpful (Dia). Enjoyed the coffee pods in the room but sister hotel nearby (MAQ) has a nice coffee bar. About 10-25 minutes to various trails by car. Ucluelet is 30-35 min.
