As an engineer, I’m shocked Cadillac and GM think this is acceptable. The 6.2L L87 V8 engine — used in the Escalade, Yukon, Sierra, and Silverado — is the subject of a massive recall due to a serious mechanical defect in the valve train and lifter design.
