Don't go there expecting normal restaurant service. You order from a counter, and pay before you receive your food, which is not terribly unusual from a typical fast food joint. However when you use a card to purchase there is a tip field, which implies there will be some sort of service. This is definitely not the case! When you are finished, you are expected to clear your own table. The salad was of poor quality, the pizza crust was bland and was overcooked, the sauce unremarkable and the cheese was gobbed on, but not part... read more

Food is always good – My family has eaten Due Amici's salads, sandwiches and pizzas for years now. They're very popular (very busy at dinnertime ) - because their food is always great. The prices are a value for the generous portions and taste. Slices and whole pizzas are very large. My personal favorite is their Greek salad with dressing on the side. The salad is large enough for a meal, but sometimes I eat half and also order a slice. The Italian ices are a great, healthy summertime treat for kids. Very convenient on Prosp... read more

Best NY Style Pizza and Italian Cuisine in the Carolinas... – Wow, that's a pizza!... When you walk through the door, the aroma transports you to a family style pizzeria from the old neighborhood.. The fried calamari with their home made red sauce is delicious.. The calamari is very tender. The riceballs or arancini are out of this world, not something you find at any other pizzeria. Their pizza is thin and crisp, just like I remember back in Queens NY. Being of Italian descent I'm not often impressed with Italian restaurant... read more

Best Pizza Ever – We always order the Large Cheese pizza and my kids love the huge slices and will eat two of them all by themselves. We are from here so I can't say if this is NY pizza or not. I can tell you it is better than any chain pizza anyday. Service is fast, friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Always busy so we pickup our pizza to go.

Best Pizza in the Highland Creek Area.. – I love this place. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. The only change I would suggest is to make the salads smaller. The Side salad is huge and is mainly just a huge portion of lettuce...) This just feels and tastes like a NY Pizzeria...and the prices are reasonable for the size of the pizza. They only do pick up, but for those of us in the Highland Creek Area- if you want good pizza, you gotta go for the Due Amici's. Other than Ciro's up in University City...this is th... read more

Sicilian was too doughy. Manager (owner?) very rude. – Price was too high and when I politely asked if the price was correct, he said that if I bought a car with leather seats, I'd have to pay extra. Took my money with no thank you or even saying anything. I've been to New York many times and never had a pizza like this. We went there as recommended by this site. I guess that whoever ate here was lucky. We will not be back. There are too many pizza places around where I can get the same service and quality for lower prices.

The best NY style pizza in town! – This is now my 3rd time going to Due Amici's. ..love it! Actually the first time I came, I decided to be adventurous and order a chicken parmesan pizza slice. For some reason, I didn't think I was going to like the plain cheese slice, because in many other pizzerias in town, the plain cheese slices are kind of bland. Nevertheless, I tried the chicken parmesan pizza and was not impressed. It tasted as though it had been sitting out a while, even though it had been reheated. However, I decide... read more

A a taste of the North – I love this place, this is the closest to New Jersey style pizza I have found here in Charlotte. The entrees are just as good! Only thing I would recommend is that the zeppoli be cooked to order, reheating them ruins it.

Some of the best pizza in Charlotte – Best pizza in charlotte. Wide variety, cooked to order and DELICIOUS. I would recommend this place to anyone. The guy who said it was bad must have been stuffing it in his a$$ trying to taste it.
