I had lasik by Dr. Dudley in 2002 when it was a new treatment. I have had nothing but severe dry eye and retina problems since. He must have made a mint back then and he still is ruining eyes at age 79? Stay clear.
Great Doctor. I had LASIK surgery back in 2008 with Dr. Dudley. I still have 20/20 vision.
He screwed up my lasik
Dr. Dudley stitched a multi focal lens in my eye after the bag broke from cataract surgery. This was the second surgery on the same eye by him. Problem was he attached the lens off center leaving the eye blurry. Needed to see a retina specialist to have the lens removed and another put in. Retina doctor said he should have never put a multi focal in, needed to do a mono focal the second time. This was the third surgery on this eye. Should not have happen.
As much as I like Dr. Dudley as a person and a general practitioning eye doctor, I do not recommend him for performing lasik eye surgeries. Something seemed wrong with mine so I got a second opinion in another city - the doctor there guessed who performed the lasik. I was referred to a cornea specialist who repaired as much as possible of the large and small wrinkles he left, but I still face a cornea transplant to remedy all that has been wrecked. Absolutely a brilliant Doctor. I had LASIK with Dr. Dudley and it was phenomenal. My grandmother also had cataract surgery with him and the process was flawless.
